Dr Nico (Nicolas Kasanda wa Mikalay, 7 July 1939 – 22 September 1985) was a virtuoso guitarist often hailed as the "God of the guitar". A star of African Jazz, he later co-founded African Fiesta with Tabu Ley Rochereau in 1963, shaping the melodic lead-guitar style at the heart of Congolese rumba.
